Danielle is your average college student getting ready to graduate. At a party she seems to become drunk, passes out and wakes up in the spare bedroom of a man named Edgar. He seems nice… but it soon becomes clear that his intentions are anything but benevolent. As she desperately tries to escape she finds that an heirloom may give her an unexpected advantage.
Director statement
When I was a child, I dreamed of making movies. When I grew up, like many people, I decided to put my dreams on the backburner and go into something more pragmatic. I go into the Army, go to college, try different career paths, and end up back in the Army. Then in early 2020, I decided that my filmmaking dream has waited long enough. So, I wrote a script, took out some personal loans, took a few weeks of leave and shot this movie. For me the act of creating this film was enough to justify the work, stress, time, and money that I put into it. As much as I would love to make money and win awards, simply having people see it is enough. Regardless of whatever happens, in the next year I’m going to preparing to make my next movie. It’s part of who I am.
