Synopsis: Lacey, a socially detached loner is cursed with immortality. In her attempts to keep her compulsions in check, she seeks out the darkest souls humanity has to offer. Lacey must now face her own inner demons while simultaneously finding her next meal.
We are delighted to present the Arizona premiere of this follow-up to He Never Died, which starred Henry Rollins as an immortal, cannibalistic loner, suddenly forced to bond with his teenage daughter. Its director, Jason Krawczyk, has been busy working with Rollins on a mini-series version, so for this companion piece [it’s not so much a sequel] has passed the directorial torch on to Audrey Cummings.
That’s particularly cool, because Audrey had a previous film, Berkshire County (released in the USA as Tormented), screened by Phoenix FearCon back in 2014. Since then, she also made her second feature, Darken, which takes place in a parallel universe made up of maze-like rooms, where the inhabitants are protected by its altruistic overseer, Mother Darken.
